choices, why do I like Real Estate best? David JohnstoneFirst, my investment objectives...... - A great double-digit return, preferably more than 25% - Tax benefits that help me reduce my personal taxable income - Minimize my time involved to manage or monitor the investment - Use leverage and other people's money to purchase the investment How many investment choices can you think of that fulfills these objectives? Just One. Real Estate! Now Real Estate is not for everyone. It is not a “Get rich quick” scheme and it does take some analysis to find good investments that meet your financial objectives. And Real Estate is not as easy to sell, as stocks are. Think about what it takes to buy and sell a stock. Analyze the company, place an order with a broker to buy the stock, wait for it to grow, and finally sell the stock. Essentially, buy low and sell high. Does it always work this way? Technically there are ways to sell before you buy, or use options to create leverage. But I’m thinking more about… ‘wait for it to grow’. How long do you wait? Do stocks always grow or go up in value? If you’re like me, you have picked some losers over the years and have some real experience showing that stocks don’t always go up. There’s cycles of time where the stock market in general does well, and times where is flat, and other times when stocks fall fast. Oh – and what about those companies who’s stock looks like a winner and then the company has internal fraud or a poor business model, and now this company is no longer in business. Do any companies come to mind? Real Estate has some similarities and some important differences. It's the differences why I really like Real Estate as an investment. Real Estate also has cycles of time where the value grows fast, slows down or is flat, and when values fall, but the general trend over time is up. Outside influences such as crime, employment opportunities, and demand can change a neighborhood's value, but Real Estate in general is still a great investment. I don’t know who was the first to say it, but “God isn’t making any more”, in terms of land, means that it’s a limited resource. And our population is growing at an amazing rate. Where will all these people live and work? Maybe in one of your properties? Today is a great time to acquire Real Estate. It's a Buyer's Market, so there's a large inventory of properties to choose from. I would like to meet with you to discuss how Real Estate would be a great addition to your portfolio of investments. 480-444-2520 david@GrowYourWealth.net Licensed Real Estate Agent in Arizona Devas & Associates Real Estate |
